In response to overwhelming demand, former Emeril protégé, Chef Cornell Coulon, will begin offering cooking classes starting in January 2010. Perfect for foodies and at-home cooks alike, will we will offer both series and a la carte classes to suit a multitude of culinary desires.

All our cooking classes will be hosted in Basikneads’ Alexandria kitchen. Please see the schedule below for the dates, times and themes (for the a la carte classes).

Culinary Training Course – 6-week Series

For those who want basic culinary training without the commitment of culinary school, we are offering two separate 6-week course series. These courses are open to a maximum of 12 participants per course series and include dinner and wine. They will open with a tutorial about knife techniques and proceed to demonstrate a variety of culinary techniques. Since everyone will be coming from different culinary backgrounds, Chef Coulon is prepared to cater the courses to the particular class whether you want to learn about sauce making, how to sauté fish, or anything you may be particularly interested in. After the first tutorial, you will be able to discuss with Chef your hopes and desires for the class and the course will proceed accordingly.

$500 per participant per session

Our a la carte classes are perfect for those individuals who want to learn how to make specific dishes that they can replicate at home. You can come to any number of these a la carte classes, it’s up to you and what you are interested in learning.
